My Conscious Way Of Being

The Shift Movie by Wayne Dyer - Thumbs up!

March6

I have only been in this ‘conscious’ or ’spirituality’ industry for the brief 4 years since I created AQUAMANTRA. But even in this small time since “The Secret” came out I’ve seen several movies that have been made attempting to capture the message or any message for that matter. I watch all of them to see if it’s something to share with others, and mostly I don’t because you can tell if the message is an authentic discovery or a feeble attempt at their ’spiritual’ fame, as in the films ‘Pass It On’ or ‘the Compass’ - which have messages but ones that we have already heard before, with a weak story line that is phoney and boring.

The Shift by Wayne Dyer

I went into Wayne’s movie ‘The Shift’ with no expectations even though he has been around forever and always puts out a great message. I was pleasantly surprised and not in just from a critics point of view. First off it was a beautifully shot movie, with excellent audio and visual tantilizers and the actors did and excellent job, they weren’t cheesy or overacting. It is a story of Wayne doing a documentary on his message while it intertwines stories of several other characters. Their stories might be a little drastic, but it feels like we need to be hit over the head with the message to receive it - so it works. As someone in the field of awareness I’m always excited to receive an old message in a new way and this was just that, it was pertinent to our current lives and our “AMERICAN” culture. The points that I took from it were and are applicable in my life right now so THANK YOU Wayne for arriving at the perfect space and time for me. One of the key ingredients to this storyline is that we are all connected to a source and that the farther away we go from this source the more we edge out god (EGO) - he talks about how when we are born from conception, the universe powerfully creates this amazing being and with no interference from us. Mother’s don’t physically DO anything to create the baby, they don’t have a list of create the baby chores to do. And after 9 months the baby comes out so why is it any different from inside the womb to our life? Why don’t we just allow things to unfold? Because the EGO gets involved. The funny part about this for me is I was just listening to Rev. Michael Beckwith’s CD “True Abundance” and he has been talking about the exact same thing! I can take a hint universe…so I started to really hear what was being said. EGO is responding to us wanting to be the best, achieve the most and control the situation so that it feeds us and only us. EGO encourages us being separate instead of u all being one and for me this message is poignant today for a few reasons.

About 3 weeks ago my in-laws from Poland moved in to my house. I am a private individual who loves my space and my healthy food. All of a sudden, I’m confronted with meals every day that are polish and delicious mind you, but not exactly on weight watchers. My privacy is now zilch and in every room I go Polish is being spoken, which from where I was observing was edging me out of my own space. Selfish yes, but I have been living with just me and my husband for 10 years. I’ve been withdrawing and avoiding even sociallizing with them because all his mom talks about is food and his dad doesn’t even speak english, he just watches tv in the front room. It was getting challenging for me because I was trying to control everything else around me because this seemed out of control, an issue I know no one else has right?! But I knew I was getting increasingly cranky and avoidance was not helping the situation, but definitely hurting it. Wayne talks about when you are connected to your source, like you are in the womb or when you meditate or do something creative, you have the knowing that everything will be alright. For me that meant having quiet time and because there was so much activity in my house there was no quiet space for me to go to, where before there was always that peaceful space. Once you are connected, you are guided to where you need to go. Wayne talks about being in allowance and not being attached to the outcome you want. He said to a woman in the film he was always directing her kids, to just practice non-interference and just allow things to unfold. It was a big crack to the EGO hearing that. What? Just allow - practice allowing. Now I talk about this myself all the time, and realized I don’t always do it myself… but sometimes you need a film or a teacher like Wayne to REMIND you of who you really are. Kind of like AQUAMANTRA, a reminder to tell yourself you are loved. Wayne reminded me to allow, and not align, agree, resist or react to anything - boy is that easier said than done! And even though I hear those words, it took the visual of his movie to connect the dots where I was aware of what meant. I woke up this morning excited and anxious to try my new art of allowing. I reminded myself that my in-laws were not the enemy, that they were here to teach me something about myself, an opportunity for me to grow. I greeted them with warm hellos and started my day. First thing, my father-in-law started bringing twigs in to start a fire (twigs from my favorite tree that he chopped down) and for 20 minutes he brought in 7 bushels. Immediately my EGO went to work, thinking “why does he need all that in here, this room is going to be a mess, that fireplace is overloaded, blah blah blah” and I seriously had to catch myself from saying anything. I was aware of the EGO talk and decided to let it go and allow him to follow his bliss and burn his twigs. It was an awkward space for me - so wanting to control the situation and letting go… and when I did, it felt so much lighter than holding on and making it all be MY WAY. Who cares if he wants to burn the whole tree - he can clean it up, it doesn’t affect me. It was then that I saw how strong my ego really was, how much power it had over me. How much power does your ego have over you? Without the awareness, we can never grow and move past it. For that lesson alone, I AM GRATEFUL to Dr. Dyer for this message. And what a relief it is to not have to hold on so tight. Then the question became what is my connection to source? Writing… drawing… yoga… meditation… I wasn’t doing any of this and it is required of me. If we don’t feed the soul - we feed the ego. It is our choice. The second message I received from this film and Rev. Michael’s CD is how am I serving? If I can choose to serve, then the universe opens up to reward you. Ah-ha! The magic tool. Serve others and the world will reward you. How can I serve? How can I support? Instead of what is best for me. TRUTH. This one is of course easier because serving others does support our good nature, helping others and feeding our soul. Wayne’s theme of this movie is finding your soul’s purpose which ultimately comes from you. I definitely enjoyed this movie and would recommend it to you and your family. I watched it online because I bought a copy of his book through Hay House and got a free download of the movie. He created the movie first, then supportive material came after. I’ll read the book and talk more about that later, but after reading the first chapter I know the movie and the book aren’t the exact same which is cool to get alternate information. Here’s link to the movie’s site : http://www.dyermovie.com/ or Here’s a secret Promo for you

http://promos.hayhouse.com/theshift/bonusgifts.php

If you purchase from here, you’ll get an array of free gifts and coupons and a free download of the movie. I bought the book for only about $10. Also, if you do this, look under the Dr. Pat Link for Free stuff from AQUAMANTRA.

I know this was a long reading, but powerful for me to share. I’m sharing my vulnerability with you because we are all one and in this together and if I can help even 1 person then I am serving my purpose!

Peace and Blessings Creators!
